About

Hi there.  I'm glad you're here.

While I am excited about this space and about our physical classroom--with it's nifty green curtains and cool desk arrangement--I know that both will be permanently under construction as I am a tinkerer.  I like to try new things and one of my key goals this year is to LISTEN to my students and let them be authors in their own learning environment.

On a personal note, I live in small-town Sterling, Nebraska with my hunky bearded husband, Ralph and my two spunky kids Charli (3) and Oliver (1).  We also have a boxer named Daisy.  I have my doctorate in teaching, learning, and teacher education from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and my MA in curriculum and instruction from Peru State College, where I played was on the volleyball team as an undergraduate. Oh, and I love licorice.  Bring me licorice.  Did I say you can bring me licorice?  Do it.  :)  Go bluejays.
